Remembering Pam by Alan Rothwell

Created by Dave 4 years ago
I am so sorry to hear the news, Pam was such a lovely girl, they don`t make many like her. I remember the days when you lived in Constance Crescent just a short walk from our house in Trevor Close. Pam was just a year ahead of me at Hayes Primary School and a year behind Barbara, Betty was two years ahead of that. So all the teachers knew the Rothwells (as we all were then) rather well.
I always remember Pam as being a confident girl and recall her going on to the stage at the Odeon Hayes and singing solo. It was a Saturday morning so there were at least a couple of hundred kids present. I was most impressed as were many around me who thought she was my sister. I reminded Pam of this when we last met at Helens funeral.
